I'm here in Canada for another 2 to 3 years tops, after that we are back to Thailand. Can I buy a RR 17 or a 18 and before we return get it swapped for RHD?

 

Yes you can if you are willing to throw a metric ton of cash at it

 

Is there a specific kit and how many shop hours do you think? Basically this a new RR is 300% more in Thailand (around $366,177.00 CAD).

 

I say buy one in the UK because converting will be a long term headache if it's not done right

I don't know the rules and regs regarding importing vehicles to Thailand, but cost and headache to convert such a vehicle is really not worth it. You could easily do stuff like that with an old Jeep or defender, but modern cars are not so easy. Its always cheaper and easier (in my opinion) to just sell and buy it factory done.
