Exclamation Radar/Sonar Distance Control Sensor (mounted up front)

Guys.. I've purchased a rebuilt L405 (2016 Range Rover Autobiography) LWB, its distance control module sensor that mounts to the front end is no longer there and needs replaced... I see several online for 550-700, however, the dealership wants 1900 for it new and swears it has to be purchased new and reprogrammed/recalibrated to my specific VIN (I feel like thats a lie to get me to cough up 2600 bucks). So my question is, can I buy a used identical part number (LR062658 OR FPLA9G763-AD) and basically plug and play it considering its obviously off the identical car and radar/cruise control/speed sensors etc. shouldnt matter based on length of the vehicle (if it came off a short wheel base). What are your thoughts? Thanks

Buy the used one. There’s no programming needed. Go to www.RangeRovers.net L405 section. Search. They did it here.

Mark do you know if Right Hand driven (obviously an ebay part purchased overseas) as opposed to my Left Hand driven one would make any difference at all???
