Range Rover l405 3.0 v6 jaguar motor install
Hello anyone can tell me the parts need to be swapped over from a Jaguar 2017 xf motor v6 3.0 to fit a 2016 Range Rover 3.0v6 I see the jag motors motor available lower miles and bit cheaper.
I have not seen that question pop up before on newer Range Rovers. If you are just doing the engine swap just make sure it will be compatible with the Range Rover mounts and all hook ups etc...Curious to hear more about this project. Good luck and keep us posted.
I bought a used jaguar motor swapped over the oil pan suction tube and a few mounts and wire harness,
I start it and it runs cold and then it rough idles and dies. Revving it up 2k rpms stays running no issues, once the car gets hot won’t stay running dies at idle
I have codes p0087, p0088 and of course misfire codes
I changed the hp fuel pumps, fuel rail sensor, and low pressure fuel pump in the tank ,fuel injectors spark plugs needed anyway car had 93k in it . And also swapped coils no diffrence

It really is hard to tell you what to do. You just have to go with the codes and start an elimination process. I do not know if the ECU and TCU need to be re-programed to recognize the new engine.
