Can someone tell me if a 2016 Range Rover Supercharged comes with a second battery meant for Auto Start/Stop functionality? I have taken my RR to mechanics and even bought a second battery only to return it because nobody could find it. They all say this model only came with One main battery. I have seen them open the side panel in the trunk and there was no battery. They looked under the hood but could not find it.
Does it really have one? They also call it voltage quality module but where is it?
I found the Voltage Quality Module on mine. I have a 2016 L405 Supercharged V8. For this model - there is not a secondary battery. The VQM replaces it. The Voltage Control Module is in the back hatch area behind the carpet on the right side below where the fusebox is found. In other models & vehicles that have a secondary battery, the Voltage Quality Module is in basically the same place. Here is a picture of mine - you should be able to grab the part number and look it up. I believe the Landrover Part is RR121720.
My question is whether this part would impact the auto start/stop such that if the vehicle is held in autostop too long, the car would stall? Or, is that a low pressure fuel pump problem?
