Weird cranky noise under the engine
I have a 2016 RR Supercharged V8 and a weird noise seems to be coming out from somewhere in the engine which I am not able to describe it to the mechanic. One of them took a look and right away said it was the brakes without listening to the noise because the engine was not hot enough and I decided to get it done but the noise did not go away. Funny thing is it only comes up after the engine is hot and driven for a lot of 30-40 miles. The oil levels are just fine and the only thing left to pin it on is the transmission fluid which has not been changed since I bought it and it has 90K miles on it. I thought it was the struts but the guy who did the brakes never said a thing about it. Would heat do anything to the transmission oil and emit strange noise?
All said and done I have spent about $1000 on the brakes which were probably fine for another 500 miles and the noise is still there. Have a feeling it is the transmission fluid or lack thereof.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
