Hey Rover pros. I'm looking for a little bit of information. I have a 1997 P38 4.0SE. I'm in the position to buy a 2002 P38 4.6. I know the difference between the Gems and Bosch. But I was wondering if other parts were interchangeable. I was looking to gut and strip the 02 for my 97 since the 02 is totalled. Any help would be great. Thanks,

Willie, as long as it’s cheap, it will be worth your while buying it. There are enough compatible parts.

 

(If I could find a wrecked Bosch P38 I’d buy it.)

 

Thank you. It's 700 bucks. Runs and drove before the axle was snapped by getting hit by a Honda. Lol. So I was basically gonna pick it up to replace my heated windshield, replace the sunroof mechanism, the door lock assembly that finally failed on mine and gut the interior to replace mine. Lol. So I was gonna keep the trans and transfer and sell the 4.6

 

Pulled the trigger fellas and made the purchase. Thanks for all the input. Hopefully I can help others with parts I don't need.
