Exclamation 2001 RR P38 - Key Fob Malfunction

Is there any hope out there? I replaced batteries on my key fob and confirmed it does not work. My rover keeps locking me out which is common when the key fob does not sync. I've looked everywhere to order a new key but it has been challenging. I'm looking for options and was curious to know what current owners have done? Also, what you guys think of the following:

1) BeCM SyncMate to bypass the alarm.
2) Any auto-technician services out there that can repair the circuit board on the key fob.
3) Is this the end of my P38 if I can't get a key fob to sync to the alarm.
4) I called an auto-locksmith and dealer but awaiting to hear from them tomorrow.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Within reason, cost is not an issue. I just want to know what works in this case.

Hugo

Are you located in the USA.

If so the fob uses 315mhz signal.

Land Rover quit making these fobs.

There is only one place you can get a replacement.

https://crnw.co.uk/index.html

I got one from them in early 2019 and still works great for my 2001 P38.

Is your BeCM in "Engine Disable" state? or is everything working fine but you just want a fob

Also,

Synch mate will not bypass the alarm or immobilizer.

When you say the door locks lock you out can you expand on this. You may have a broken door actuator with a broken microswitch.

Thanks Keninnc for the inout! I'm looking into the door actuator as well. But, I'm also having technician look at the circuit board on my key fob....there are some mircoswitches that are not working properly. I'm located in Florida, USA. Will look into your link regarding key fob. Much appreciated mate! Hugo
