Random misfires
Weird be issue with the 2001 p38. Been having a misfire issue that’s been intermittently happening lately. A few times now, I come to a stop light, and the engine seems to run rough. Pull away from the light, everything is fine again. Then the other morning, I start it up, drive out of the neighborhood, and as I give it some throttle to get up to speed, it had a major loss of power alone with a blinking check engine light. Pulled over, restarted it, ran fine after that. So I stopped at the car wash last night, as I’m pulling in and the underbody wash starts spraying, it starts to misfire again with a blinking check engine light. Checked codes a few times during all this and about 2 weeks ago it showed codes p0300, p0304, p0308. Cleared the codes, last week recheck it was p0300, p0303, p0305, p0307. Cleared those and recheck after the car wash last night and p0300, p0305, and p0307 again. About 6 months ago I replaced all the ignition components- plugs, wires, and both coils. What’s on the bottom that could have been effected by water that would cause a misfire on this engine? Crank sensor on its way out? Thanks - Jake
