2006 Range Rover Sport wont raise, air suspension issue
I recently purchased my first range rover sport, but it came with the inherent air suspension issues
So, first off when I picked it up the front looks like it's at its lowest height (access) with the rears even lower to the point where I can only just fit a pinky finger between the tire and the wheel arch, so I'm assuming this is pretty much on the bump stops.
the previous owner had told me that it was all working a few days ago then all of a sudden the suspension dash light comes on and it won't raise (giving off suspension fault on the dash and says it's at a normal height only) but of course you'd say that when selling the car.
so my diagnostic process so far led me to believe the main issues could be a dead pump (as it would start for about 10 seconds when the car was started then would stop out)
a possibly faulty rear valve block
or maybe even just the relay
so I took it to my local mechanic (non land rover specialist) to run the fault codes to which many arose, we cleared them and ran it again with some still persisting but I decided id take it to a specialist if I was going to pay for someone to diagnose the issue.
it's not booked in till next week so in the meantime, I have replaced the compressor myself with no luck the rear is still as low as can be, the pump still goes for 10 seconds then stops and the same fault on the dash is still there.
I have a new set of three valve blocks in case all need to be swapped out for good measure (I'm going to leave this for the mechanic to do)
and I've purchased a new relay just in case it's simply done its time (hasn't arrived just yet)
I know the car has recently had one height sensor fixed (unsure which one though) but the 4x4 screen doesn't seem to show any weird movement or issues so I don't think its an issue with a height sensor
I've spent a long time searching and reading up on the air suspension faults but wondering if anyone has any other insight into the situation
