NAV Touchscreen Unresponsive
09 RRS SC (DENSO)
The NAV touch screen has become unresponsive - when ignition is @ I,II or with vehicle running, NAV screen goes from LR Logo to 'Warning Screen'
but the touch screen is completely unresponsive as is, when the physical button below the screen is pressed, the '4x4Info', 'Navigation' or 'Settings' screen choices. Voice commands for NAV actions replies " Navigation Caution has not been accepted" Audio System and bluetooth are unaffected.
(Vehicle has no rear entertainment system)
The vehicle is always garaged & so this issue 1st occurred a few weeks ago after spending a couple of days in the hot sun at the beach. The screen was unresponsive for a few short trips to town and then re-set itself and was normal for a 3hr trip home. It has since (3weeks) been completely unresponsive.
Full disclosure: While I have been using a bootleg NAV DVD for the last 7yrs w/o incident, re installing the factory OEM Disc incurs the same result.
Both eject and reload smoothly into the under-driver's-seat unit and I can feel the slight vibration as the disc spins
The only recent repair was the replacement of front & rear brake pad sensors (w/factory OEM)
Can someone offer a re-set or trouble-shooting sequence to identify the issue? Is it just a dead screen that needs to be replaced?
