I just purchased a used 2007 Range Rover sport V6. Went on to my insurance company's app to add the vehicle to my policy and it won't recognize the VIN. So now I'm worried I've got a car with a bogus VIN. When I start looking online for further details about range rover VINs, mine doesn't seem to follow the standard format - primarily that the 4th and 5th character pair of 'LS' isn't typically what you see on a sport. Anyway, the complete VIN is SALLSAA137A995228. Can anyone confirm this is indeed a legitimate VIN and that hopefully my insurance company is just glitching?
