I just bought a Range Rover Sport and the filaments for the heated windshield are really bothering me. Do you get used to it? Is it possible to remove the heated windshield and install a regular windshield? Any idea how much that would cost?

 

Congrats for your new vehicle. Well, to replace the windshield it may be a bit more involved than calling AutoGlass ppl. Behind it there are some sensors which may need recalibration, and maybe other software updates. I had 2 vehicles with heated windshield. After the fist 2 months, I did not even noticed is there. But then again, this is something at personal level. What helped me the most, were the sun glasses ... they "magically" made those filaments disappeare. Anyways, replacing that, could be upwards of 2k $ ( with labor involved, calibration, etc ).
