Default Knocking Engine

Hey guys, recently picked up a 2014 Range Rover 3.0 with a misfire. was able to resolve the misfire with new spark plugs but now that the engine runs smoother I can hear a loud knocking. It runs and drives perfectly and throws no codes. The noise is more prevalent underneath the car. Did change the oil and filter and also added Lucas but that hasn't made a difference at all. Anyone have any experience in this scenario? If so, how much would a rebuild cost and how complex would it be? currently at 110k miles. I've also added a video of the noise

Default Knocking Engine

Hi Anas1518,
I bought a 2016 RR Sport in 2020 with 29,000 miles and noticed a similar knocking/ticking sound when I started in cold the next morning. An oil flush and change (liquimoly special tech 0W-20) made it a little better. 5 years and 30,000 miles later it always ticks when cold, but idles quitely after a drive. Since I couldn't duplicate the noise at the dealer after driving there (warm) I left it overnight once and asked them start it in the morning and tell me what they thought. My adviser said 'it's normal' and its probably the high pressure fuel system. I also have a theory: since the engine uses tappets instead of hydralic valve lifters, maybe there's a little extra clearance between moving parts until everytihng warms up and expands . .
