Default Range Rover sport collision

New member. Excuse me if I have posted in the wrong thread.

my vehicle was in a collision a couple weeks ago. Long story short, the other driver who hit me lost control on icy roads and ended up colliding with the rear drivers side of my vehicle going around 40-50km per hour. Most of the impact was to the rear drivers wheel. Which was enough to deploy the curtain and seat airbags and leave my tire sideways. My insurance company took a quick 20 min visual look at my vehicle (did not take apart to assess damage to suspension, frame or any mechanical) the amount of damage they had estimated was $34,000CAD(basically all cosmetic and airbags) I know this amount is going to go up significantly once it is looked at by a body shop. Now my question is, Can that type of impact to the tire cause suspension or frame damage?
It is tough to see on that photo, but the tire is quite angled and the vehicle seems to be sagging to that side.

Needs a trip to the dealer as well as the body shop.

Likely going to be a total, depending on the year and mileage. Phil
