Default 2010 Range Rover Suspension

My 2010 RR Supercharged was hit last week by car which ran a red light. The car hit my rear passenger tire and back bumper. As a result, the rear tire bent inward from bumper side about 2". Another words, that tire is not aligned with the other three. The car is drivable but one shop says that they need to replace the suspension (even though it looks intact) on both sides of the vehicle.
Just not sure if they are trying to rip me off. The air bag is ok, no obvious damage to the suspension either when the car was on the jack.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciate it.

Insurance is paying for it, let them replace whatever they want.

All the suspension components are connected, if one is damaged it is very possible all are.

Thanks. Just not sure should I take it to a dealer or individual high ened body shop. Bumper needs to be replaced which not a big deal but As we both know suspensions on RR are complicated.

Go with the dealer, the bodyshop they have works with the parts dept and will get your vehicle back to you quicker then an aftermarket bodyshop alone. If there are parts issue the dealer will take care of its own customers before an aftermarket bodyshop first. But call the dealer, tell them what happened and they will direct you to there bodyshop. It may be on site or it may be up the road. Your damage is probably a few bent control arms and knuckle.

Thanks. I really appreciate your advice. Insurance companies are the biggest scam in the WORLD. They are looking for any excuse to increase your rate. I am an excellent driver with no accident for the past 25 years. An illegal immigrant with no insurance hit me and my insurance is paying for this. I just did not want them to turn around and increase my rate even in this case when is not at any of my fault. So getting a quote for $10k to replace suspenssion and rear bumper with painting rear bumper seemed a little too high. Even if the insurance pay for it they will make sure to get the money back by increasing my policy rate later.
Again because I never had any accident in the past may be I am just panicing.

I love this car and hate for whatever happened to it.

Thanks again
Regards,
a

You can always shop around for a different insurance company if they raise your rate.
Alot of insurance companies not offer "accident forgiveness" and safe driving discounts.
If they raise your rates start shopping around.
In the mean time they need to pay to have it fixed, the dealer will do the best job.
