Hi!
As the title says. It also has codes U0447, P2187 and P2189. I know what the codes mean, but don’t know what that means for this vehicle in particular. It came out of nowhere and started with just the high rev’s at startup and the codes popped up a day or two later. I got it from my in-laws and it’s been serviced regularly and babied its whole life. Today I drove it and made it 1000 feet before it stuttered so bad I barely made it back. Fuel filter maybe? I’ve checked every plug I can find under the hood and they all seem good. Thanks in advance for your input!

Hi! Yeah, my PCV diaphragm was torn badly. I replaced that and also the plugs because they looked original and degraded pretty bad as well. It ran perfectly fine, but has a high number of misfires on both 3 and 6 rear cylinders. We have scoped the coils on those cylinders and swapped coil packs and have the same results with down spikes to ground after firing on 3 and 6. It runs beautifully in gear and off of idle. I’m thinking the intermittent high reving starts are maybe the idle air controller, but the random misfiring has me stumped. I drove it just now with 2 perfect startups and it ran great. After replacing the PCV and plugs, she’s snappy and faster than ever. My wife is just embarrassed to drive it because of the high rev starts that occasionally happen…lol! We’ve been using the Autel scanner and noticed it’s demanding 25% more fuel at idle and drops to normal with throttle. We cleared it before the new plugs and it idled so bad, but I haven’t since the new plugs…so I’m wondering if that’s a problem now. We’re going to smoke the intake for leaks, but it’s intermittent and I’m thinking it’s a control issue and not physical. Thank goodness I got a crazy deal on it from the in-laws…lol!
