2020 Velar seats into van conversion VW T6
Hi All,
I am after some technical advice, please........
I have rescued the front seats from a scrapped 2020 Velar - they are mint and gorgeous! I am going to put them into my VW T6, well...... hoping to that is, and that's when the conundrum arrives.
I have got the passenger side to come alive - all the movements work fine, although I failed to get life in the lumber support and as much as I would love heated seats - not the biggest bugbear. However, I can get no life from the driver's side...... which in truth is the most important, well to me anyway, being a selfish chap!
There is the ECU under the seat - which I believe is more concerned with the memory functions, please correct me if I am wrong and I also imagine there will be a CANBUS interface somewhere too. However, the movement switches on the side of the seat must (?) work independently from the CANBUS so that the seat can be moved before a memory number is assigned to that position..........
Can anyone please help in bypassing the bits and bobs and just getting power to the switches to activate the motors - oh, and if I could get life from the lumber that would be good too as I do suffer from a dodgy back - old age methinks.
Thanking you all in advance for any and all assistance.
Kevin
