Advise, experience, lemon? Help!
To start I have a 2021 RR Velar p380 r-dynamic. I absolutely LOVE it, but, I have had a lot of issues. Most of which are all in the computer. The car drives great, looks good, and we plan on buying it out after the lease. But I’m worried about that with all these issues. So I am hoping for similar experiences or advice on how to possibly approach the dealership.
Here is a list of my issues:
1.my lower screen had to be replaced in 2022, which took months to get in due to all the shortages.
2. Drivers score did not work, after being it up probably many times it was fixed, like a month ago.
3. Battery voltage “low” which would not allow it to update.
4. The data was locked out on my profile, which they kept telling me it was fixed and wasn’t, I finally deleted the profile and made a new one, and it appears to work again. Not by there help.
5. When using auto start it will default to a tow mode which disabled my blind spot mirror lights.
6. There is a notification everytime I start the car about towing.
7. After an update, one door handle would not close which would then set off the car alarm after a min, and would not register as the car being secured.
8. after they fixed the door I found that now the door will not open from the inside
9. Supposedly a factory defect that wore my rear break rosters.
10. Certain right turns will cause a grinding/ rubbing from the front passenger side.
My car was in the shop for 2 months, and when I got it back the car would not update and the grinding/rubbing was still there after the rear breaks were done. (They said maybe it was the break issue) so I turned around and brought it right back. Then they had it 2 more weeks and gave it back, it was updated, they said my voltage was just off by .4. Then while dropping my daughter off the door will now not open from the inside. And it still grinds on certain right turns.
So we really want to keep this car, but i feel like it’s gonna be more and more of these little things that eventually fully disable the car in the future, and that really sucks.
Finally, I just want to know how should I approach the dealership for money back, or should I just find a lemon lawyer and not bother with the dealership. Unfortunatly, I have a lease and I live in Arizona, so I’d have to use the federal lemon laws vs state.
what’s your opinion / experience? I really would like to keep it, but not sure that’s worth it.
