Default Range rover velar offroad tires

I wanted to talk about some tire options that everyone would have come across while selecting a good offroad tires for velar. I have a 2018 range rover velar p380 r-dynamic which came with a 20 inch rims and 255/50r20 size. When I'm shopping for a offroad tire and I didn't find any post that helped me. So I did trail and error and finally I got a offroad tire.

So for those of you don't know. There are very less options for 20" offroad tire.On a range rover velar because of the disc size we can't go below 19' inch rims. In 19' inch they don't sell any All Terrain tires. So the only option is 20 inch rims with bigger tire. So I have the tire size with 275/55/r20 which will rub the control arm and won't work at all. With stock suspension access level height with out rubbing and with decent gap from the control arm the only max size tire that fit in a velar is 265/50/r20. I have tried couple of brands

These are all sesoan that came with the car. 255/50r20

Mickey thompson baja boss 265/50r20

the bfgoordirch are really good and I went with mickey thompson baja boss A/T 265/50r20. These tires have double side wall and very aggressive thread. They have 60k mile warranty. FYI, They have additional 10lbs per tire weight that increases on the vehicle. I had a 1500 miles trip recently and the road comfort actually have increased with the bigger tires. I have to say the road noise have increased a little but not drastic which is pretty negligible when you compare with the offroad performance and the comfort that adds.
I hope this helps.
