After many tire kickers on eBay... PROJECT 1985 4 Door Classic Range . Probably the lowest mileage Range Rover in the US of this era Range Rover (57,000 original kms = 35,000 miles ) but since being imported it has lived on the East Coast and thus has lots of rust in all the usual places. However these are going up in price everyday and it will be worth megabucks once restored. I don’t really want to part it out but will if I don’t sell it complete
I used it regularly on my property until three years ago and it ran well. The starter gave up one day and it has been parked in my barn since then. Nice grey velour interior consistent with the low mileage and good headlining. Has Air-conditioning, electric windows and alloy wheels but will need new tires. Has a Five speed transmission on a long stalk, coupled with a two-range transfer box and centre differential. It shifted well through the gears. Has an Edelbrock carburettor conversion which is a great upgrade. What more can I say, its a project but a worthwhile project given what these are selling for.
Will try to answer any questions you may have and will help with shipping/ loading. $2k firm located in Greenwich, CT

I owned an '85 for years up here in Litchfield County. Mine had just over 60K miles on it when I bought it. It finally rusted away around 2007/8. It had the same long stick LT77 and I eventually ditched the Strombergs for an Edelbrock when I dumped a 4.0L into the engine bay. Mine had ARB's front and rear, a Brownchuch rack, was lifted a couple of inches and sported a 12K winch up front. My wife and I used to go away every summer for a month or longer, exploring the Canadian Maritimes. I really miss that Range Rover. It was the best Land Rover I ever owned and believe me, I''ve owned many!
