2000 Disco II
I'm not very motivated to sell, but would like to get a general sense of what this vehicle is worth.
It blew its head gasket partly due to our (mine and my father's) reluctance to accept its passing.
Upon proving my mechanical skills to my father, he allowed me to do the whole shebang. New gaskets on the heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, and negotiating on whether or not to go ahead and drop the sump.
New pads rotors and calipers all around.
The rear passenger (NAS) window is stuck shut. Will crack it open and take a look at it soon.
There is a tear on the driver's seat. It's not really a tear, just the stitching holding a bit down got popped out. If I can get in there easily, it will be tucked and secured.
Installed switches to pump or deflate the rear shocks. They went out, we replaced them, and well they still keep deflating. There are two switches one for left and right, and you just hold it for about 10 seconds and boop! you're level. I understand this is a little erm... ghetto? But it works and is actually kind of a neat trick.
Has the third row.
The rear driver's side quarter panel got a ding from where my brother backed into it with his door open. Just the door hit the Landy, so there's two dings. (It broke his car's door. Land Rover wins)
I'm just looking to see what this vehicle is worth. If you would like to make an offer, please let me know. I love this car, father on the other hand is a bit fed up with it (mpg, insurance, and he likes American)

Hope you're sitting down.
Aside from the usual maladies that affects a 170k mile Disco II, it needs, at least, 2 air bags, a window motor, and it has body damage. Is the front driveshaft greaseable, or it is still the factory non-serviceable shaft?
That, and no mention of warning lights on the dash, or pictures.
In my mind, this is a $1500 - $2000 Discovery II, and that's only if this is a non-snowbelt example.

RacerX is probably right on the money. I bought one a year ago - $1400 - needed the front DS rebuilt and had the trhee amigos but other than that it was fine - 180k)
Just bought one a month ago (2002 - 130k) needing a cowl, front and rear bumper covers - $2k - already had head gaskets and front ds done.
I would check the Oil pressure and if it is good keep it and drive it, if not sell it for whatever you can get for it.
