2000 Discovery lifted many mods needs motor Long Branch NJ $3500
See below for details. PM me or email through craigs
Heres a copy paste of above;
Have to sell my 2000 Land Rover Discovery II with tons of upgrades. Black with factory brushbar. WITH center diff lock! 116,600 miles
The bad:
The sleeve slipped on cylinder 7 and is leaking coolant into the oil pan, so it will need a doner motor or someone who can do the repairs. Left rear panel has dent at corner from hit and run, about the side of a football. I have the replacement plastic corner piece just never isntalled it. Crack in windshield about 1.5 long terminating on repair seal. Front wipers fidget at low, but work at all other speeds fine
Clean title in hand.
The truck has the following mods and recent repairs/upgrades before the sleeve went. Everything done within last 4 years, most within last 2 years. Never been on a trail yet, been my emergency weather daily driver during winters (on motorcycle most of the time) for a 3 mile round trip commute.
3" lift on Terrafirma HD shocks and springs
Terrafirma HD adjustable steering rods
Terrafirma front and rear HD differential armour/guards
Terrafirma fuel tank armour/guard
Terrafirma steering damper
285/75/r16 Guard Dog MT's with walnut shell additives plus fullsize spare and high mount adapter
(steering stops have been correctly adjusted to tire size and inner wheel well splash guards trimmed for clearance)
95% tread left basically brand new, spare is still unused.
Lockable center diff mod from DI
180 Degree Safari thermostat
Amsoil coolant used with new radiator and hoses
Throttlebody coolant line bypass
New greasble ujoint front shaft
Also have hidden winch mount never installed
Bosche Plat +4's, new belt, full tune, PVC clean, and blue oversized coil wires
New front O2's ~2 years
MAF replacaed ~3 years
Coil packs replaced ~2 years ago
ABS shuttlevalve replaced ~2 years ago, no brake lights/abs lights or problems, no codes etc
Headgaskets and complete top end rebuild when I bought it ~4 years ago
Waterpump with brass impeller (wont rot) when headgaskets done
Powersteering pump ~1 year ago
New rear left caliper ~1 year
Severe Duty fan clutch ~1 year when Safari thermo and new radiator went in
Front drivers window motor, and passenger motor and passenger regulator ~1 year
EBC slotted rotors and Greenstuff pads all around ~1 year
Steel braided extended brake lines all around when EBC rotors/pads went in
Amsoil fluids in both diffs and xfer case
Rotella oil and filters changed very regularly with Filtermag and oversized filter.
New airfilter and new cabin filter strip in engine bay.
Exhuast collector gaskets replaced ~1 year ago with all new bolts.
New upper hose with upgraded style purge bleeder screw
Newer plastic hard lines replaced about 2 years ago
Also have a trans service kit sealed never installed.
Have replacement left plastic corner piece just never popped it back on
I'm sure I'll think of more... have reciepts for almost everything, many thousands of upgrades, tons of new parts that arent affected by motor work required. No tranny slippage or issues, no cracks, creaks or surprises, solid as a rock frame, eats snowbanks for breakfast. Its finally just exceeded my budget. If no takers soon I will have to swap the motor and will relist at new price to reflect. Please email me any questions, feel free to look at it. I live a few blocks from the garage so I can meet you there. I dont have a car, only a motorcycle at the momment so if there is snow on the ground, youre picking me up lol. Everything inherintly wrong has already been addressed with this Disco, the motor was just to late to save. Interior is nearly perfect, oversized style cup holders, no other modifications, Bose sterero and multi CD player under seat stock... dont know if CD player works, never used it before have an MP3 FM modulator for music. HAM and CB, ultraguage OBD2 and rear mount camera will be retailed from sale and are not included. Lots of extras, and everythign works (defog, downhill assist, dual heated seats, power seat, rear wiper and defrost, heat/AC, traction control, windows, hazards, blinkers/lights, washer jets front and rear, etc etc etc.)

Hate to agree with Alex_M on this, as I have a D2 with a bunch of upgrades as well and it pains me that I am one blown engine away from it being almost worthless.
If recouping part of your "investment" is your goal, you will have to part the truck out.

I can't part it out because I have no where to keep it, and I can't park it in the street and pull pieces from it, town ordinance... and it's too tall to fit in the garage.
I updated the mileage, its 116k not 130k dunno why I had that number in my head.
Got back from the garage today, they weren't open the last 3 days from the holiday and the snow. They smoke tested at the dip stick and smoke was coming out of the rear most drivers side cylinder, so its a slipped sleeve.
