After 14 years and just over 200,000 miles our much loved family Land Rover has died, the transmission is toast... It is located in Mariposa, CA at a mechanics shop who can install a good used transmission for around $1700.

It's in fair shape with a few dings here and there, left rear has a small dent kind of behind the bumper damage that's visible, and the front left has a 1 1/2 to 2 inch cut in the aluminum behind the turn signal. Front bumper ok, rear not so much as shown. Parts like abs unit, electronic control modules, rear air ride system, front and rear ACs, power steering, active cornering enhancement, transfer case & differentials, exhaust system, cooling system, cruise control, sunroofs, stereo, 6 CD player all fully functional. Has 200k mi, engine had head gaskets and valves done i think at about 120k. Was running fine but needed Valve cover gaskets done as they've been leaking. Headliner was trashed because of sunroof leaks and needs to be recovered and reinstalled or replaced. Have all parts for that. Is loaded model with two sunroofs and rear folding "way back" seats and front and rear AC. Has springs substituted for air bags in rear but self leveling system is fully functional.

These are truly built to last and still drives and handles beautifully, except for the currently not moving part of course. Make a reasonable offer and it's yours and can be fixed by a trustworthy mechanic where it is if you want.
