2003 Discovery S 47, 500 Miles
I am thinking of trading up to a 2007 LR3. To do this I will need to Sell my low mileage Epsom Green, 2003 Discovery S. with aprox. 47, 500 miles. (havent made my mind up completely to sell yet...)
History and Condition:
It was purchased as a CPO vehicle from LR in Scottsdale, and received most service there, but has been to other LR dealerships when I have been living outside the area. It has never been serviced at an outside service center. Only LR dealerships thus far.
It is in very good condition, as I am single and a non-smoker, and have spent intermittant periods outside the country (which is why it has such low miles).
Never has been really off roading, but I do hike and so it has been on dirt roads to trailheads etc. The only slight imperfection is a small crack in the front bumper cover, which was gotten when I was parking in a diagonal space in a parking structure when I was looking at the space on the right side, not realizing the left side was already against the wall - (slapping head...)
My VIN ends in 3A810468 which is more than 2000 outside the evil oil pump vins which I have read are between 3A771801-3A808362.
If anyone has any other questions, feel free to email me.
As for price, I havent set that in stone. I am looking for the best offer, so I can get my "new" LR3 (2007) with the least hardchip possible.
Lastly, thanks to all who post their experiences, advice and enthusiastic stories on this forum! I have really enjoyed the "virtual" comraderie and hope to meet some of you in the future!
All the best,
Brad

As an update: I took my 2003 into LR dealership for mandatory inspection/checkup in case I keep it and get the extended warranty - Total Care (APCO) warranty.
The service manager said they have hardly seen a 2003 Discovery in such excellent condition! Nothing needs to be done and it is now able to be warrantied.
If someone wants the warranty company checklist and/or LR service receipt showing this I can fax it to them. Just drop me a line.
Thanks,
Brad

Well, I weighed the options, and in the end I decided to save my money and keep my Discovery
I purchased the Easy Care ("Total Care" = highest level of coverage offered of 4 levels) warranty for 3yrs/36,0000 miles from the Land Rover dealership. I felt it was a great option, since It let me stay with my truck, which is in great condition, without the insecurity of future outlays vs. the cost of buying a newer vehicle in this crappy economy.
