2003 Land Rover Discovery (Needs Work)
THIS SOLD TODAY - BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DELETE POSTINGS ON THIS SITE. SO THIS IS ME TELLING YA'LL THAT IT SOLD FOR $3K! PATIENCE IS WORTH IT! HAVE A GOOD ONE!
It started making the engine chatter sound. Have taken it to 3 different mechanics and 2 say its the lifters and 1 says new engine. But they all agree the engine will likely last another year. I don’t have the funds to fix it up right now and I have a new used car already. It is in great condition on the inside and outside except for the ticking sound and an oil leak, which as you all know is also fairly common with these vehicles.
Asking price $3k (OBO). I know all of the parts sold separately will add up to $3000, and I have no problem selling it off piece by piece - but I'm hoping someone will buy it that has the funds/time to fix it.
I use 91, I check the oil every 3 weeks-month and I have a great mechanic. I also have a contact who says he can install a new engine for $3600 no problem.

I do have pictures and video listed. I realize it's ambitious, but I am in no rush to sell and I am hoping someone who crashed their Disco will want to put their working engine in mine because it's in mint condition.
Also to be clear, this engine likely has another year left in her, I just am ready to move on - I already got another car.
