well...at that time I didn't think it was BS and I guess it wasn't. sold locally for $12,250 and a $150 detail. I think thats a decent price. I know its hard for all the die hards to digest, but there are a lot of folks out there who love those 2004 DIIs and wouldn't be caught dead in an LR3 / LR4.

thanks for all of your input though, I thought it was a no brainer at $14,500 all day.

Personally, I NEVER take checks. Cash only... (Actually, Cash, Gold, or Silver works.) I never pay with, or receive, checks.

In his defense, I have sold many, Many, MANY, vehicles over the years. It's strange how the market goes. I've sold a few way over Current Market Value, and I've struggled to sell some at Half of Market Value. Go figure...

There is always that one guy that really wants your vehicle, you just need to be patient.

Congrats on the sale! Price did seem high but you never know. I've spent a lot of time looking for the right truck (D2) and I think I've come to the conclusion I may have to pay more for what I actually want or think I should pay. Time will tell.

Yup, for every seat, there's an ***.

Same here, always deal in cash. If you can get a bank check you can go get cash. The last check I wrote was for rent over 10 years ago.

Why is it so hard to believe that this relatively low milage very clean good looking Disco II sold for $2250 under blue book for a private party sale?

Because, at least once a week I see similar low mileage trucks sell for a lot less.

Like I said, for every seat, there's an ***. Be thankful you found the *** for your seat.

Oh, and KBB means nothing in the real world of buying and selling these trucks. It's the last place I would go to get an idea on what my truck was worth.

I'll say it again, be thankful you found your ***.

I don't get why you'd congratulate him, he's a dick. This greedy bastard sold his truck for more than 5k than its worth to some ignorant guy who, I'm 100% sure, know's nothing about Land Rovers by just the price he paid. He's going to pay at least one grand on repairs at the dealership before he even pays his used car loan off. Why the hell would he get a pat him on the back? He should get a middle finger.
