2004 Land Rover Discovery 2 - for parts $1,100
Hi all,
I am selling my wrecked 2004 Land Rover Discovery 2, for parts.
This car is for someone who wants to strip parts for their project Disco 2.
I am not interested in parting it out myself, and only selling it as a whole vehicle. I would like to get an offer that is better than the scrap yard.
I was hoping to get $1100 for it.
Runs and drives great, does not overheat. It was my baby that I meticulously maintained. Unfortunately, I got in a car wreck, and the damage is not worth fixing. Frame horns bent slightly. Driver door does not open properly.
It still drives well. Many new parts on it.
Pre-wreck, it was overall in very good cosmetic shape.
Good engine - 170k miles (head machining and gasket job at 150k miles)
Good transmission - only 100k miles
CDL fully locking
Heated seats work great
Last year I replaced the following:
Tail lights like new - no cracks or water leaks.
Headliner not sagging, resurfaced last year. (same light beige color like stock)
all window regulators were replaced
Terrafirma Track Rod And Drag Link Assembly For Land Rover Discovery Series 2
Terrafirma Steering Damper For Land Rover Discovery Series 2
Terrafirma TF224 Land Rover All-Terrain Shock Kit for Land Rover Discovery 2
shock towers rust free
Good sunroofs with good, non-rotting seals
Kind regards,
Oleg

Oleg,
I'm sorry you had an accident.
Can you post some pictures of the interior? I live in northern VA, and would be interested in some of the interior parts (i.e. steering wheel, trunk liner).
Thanks,
Tim

Thanks all!
The car is currently parked in Manassas, VA and has tags and registration. I didn't want to leave it parked on the street in DC in this condition. It drives well at lower speeds (~50 or less), I didn't want to risk driving it on a highway after the accident, though.
I can drop it off within reasonable distance from Washington, DC area.
I am out of town until early next week. This is the photo from my travel album, I will upload better photos next week.
Also, feel free to DM me with a phone number and I can describe the condition in the meanwhile, until I upload the better photos.
The steering leather is scuffed up quite a bit, but is attached well and doesn't have any deep gouges. The horn buttons are original. They do pop out easily, but are not broken. All the tabs are there. They do stay in place if I don't touch them.
The trunk doesn't have a removable liner. It's just black carpet. In a good shape, not torn or rubbed through. The side pockets are black and work well. The cargo cover retracts well and is in a good shape - no tears or stretch marks.
