Do you know what is wrong with the motor, or what prevents it from going longer distances?

Land Rover service identified oil pump, timing chain, and related camshaft. Vehicle runs for 5 min before oil light turns on, engine is very loud.

Normal 4.4 BMW V8 timing chain wear issues - lots of threads on the BMW forums on the problem. 40hrs of work and 1100 in parts. Luckily this one was caught early before it came apart. Usually good for another 140k once the repair is made, Good luck with the sale!
