Hi all, I have my disco 2 for sale. Need gone ASAP please! Already knocked the price down $1200. Will take $3000. Here’s what it’s got.

For sale is my 1999 V8 Discovery 2. I bought it 4 months ago to road trip around America in. This car has been amazing, but unfortunately I’m heading home to New Zealand, so this has got to go. It has 98000 miles, and runs beautifully. It never gets hot, even on the long mountain passes, doesn’t use oil and cruises comfortably at 70-80mph. It has some very desirable mods too.

-Terrafirma 2” lift

-Proud Rhino solid engine mounts

-BFG KO2 tires (32s) in a 275/65/18 - lots of tread left

-Custom front winch bumper

-Rugged Ridge 9500lb winch (used twice)

-Custom rock sliders (needs side step re-welding)

-Custom rear bumper

-Detroit rear diff locker

-Eaton Trutac front LSD (works amazing with traction control)

Can include HD Terrafirma steering arms for $120 more, I just never got round to fitting them.

This car is super comfortable on road, and off-road is very capable, it always impressed me and people I followed when visiting off-road parks on my travels. This vehicle used to be owned by Platinum Motorsport as the owners personal trail truck, so you know everything has been done right.

It does currently need a little bit of work to tidy up, however I had road tripped this car for the last month and it’s not worried me.

It needs:

-Detroit locker looking at as it locked up half way through the trip

-Passenger side window front and drivers side rear windows don’t work.

-Fan motor for AC plays up (has worked great)

-Left rear brake line split during the trip so has been blocked off at the ABS pump. Drives fine as it is however the line could be replaced.

Overall it’s a very comfortable, low mileage, capable car, which has lots of aftermarket goodies on a solid base. No rust, registered til 2020 with a clean title.

Wash the truck, take better pics, include interior and frame behind the wheels. Truck looks to be worth the $$ but you need to provide more info for remote buyers.

 

We're moving to Indiana from Seattle and I'm in the market for a new LR. Can you please post some photos of the truck cleaned up a little bit and of the inside? Also, can you provide the VIN number?
