I have a winch challenge off road racing Land Rover Defender 90 here in the UK.
Ive taken a new job where I am away most of the year so don't have any time to use here anymore.
Ive been told that the old Land Rovers are very desirable in the US and am now looking to export here. She's of the right age as she is 28 years old.

engine is a 2.5 200 TDI Diesel with a 5 speed gear box LT77

axels air locking ARB rear diff and LSD front diff. Ashcroft hardened half shafts 24 spline. Diff guards

Suspension rose jointed rear trailing arms for added articulation Old Man Emu +5 shocks with coil springs

Full roll cage and Challenge tubular wings and rock sliders

Wheels are 15" with 36" simex jungle trackers centipedes with bead lockers spare has a repair hence spare.

2x Mile Marker hydraulic winches 10ton & 8ton with synthetic rope plus their own oil cooling radiator with the pump running off the engine with a manual clutch

loads more like snorkel etc

judging interest to see if it is viable to export thousands spent on her

Like I say Haven't used her this year though she has 6 months MOT. Needs a bit of a clean up here and there but road ready and pretty much ready to compete

defenders are #1 on U.S. customs hit list

 

Not going to get past customs with a 200tdi, not yet anyway. The defenders that came with them are too new for import and it has to have the original type engine in it to import.

 

Well thats scuppered that plan. I do have a series 3 88" and 2a 88" but they are over in France at the moment.
