I took this mirror from a '99 DII but I don't think it's the original. It seems to me that the very first DII mirrors in '99 had map lights. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, this one clearly doesn't have map lights. Nor doesn't it have the compass like the later DII mirrors had. So, it appears, at least to me to be a mirror from a '96-'98 DI. The glass is clear with no meltdown whatsoever. The small mark you see is actually a reflection in the mirror of a grease stain on the cardboard. It has a three pin connector and I'm including plenty of extra wiring should anyone need it.

I'm not 100% on the connector because I've never taken mine down, but I have that same mirror in my '99 DII. No map lights or compass.

 

I always thought the early '99 DII mirrors had map lights. After awhile these parts just turn into a blur. I do know that the early DII mirror worked on DI's.

My 98 D1 has map lights...who knows
