$44000 OBO, located in Chattanooga TN (USA)


The Good: Virtually rust free example of a '97 NAS SW. No rust except small little bubbles in a couple of normal places of rear door, and bottom of rear door would need attention. Bulkhead, crossmember, doors, floor pans all look good. Has about 120k on the chassis, and about 80k on the replacement engine. Replacement 4.0 engine was put in as the original one overheated beyond repair. Tranny engages fine, rebuilt transfer case A few years ago. Windows free of cracks. Most electrics work. Middle console works but latch is a bit broken. Tires are fine, maybe 70% left. No smells. Window seals ok. Runs, idles and drives as it should, and like a Defender.


The Bad (nothing really bad): Truck has been parked for over a year but runs and drives fine. Typical ticking from the engine when running. CEL is on, getting it looked at tomorrow. Brake light intermittently on and fluid leaking at calipers a little. Steering has some slack in it. Gas gauge jumps around but not as bad as some I've seen. A/C not cold, fan motor blows. Missing the panel cover under the driver seat. Exhaust is rusted, at least muffler-to-tailpipe replacement is needed. Front brakes leaking fluid on tires. Was in a right front minor accident (parking lot accident), doesn't appear to have any structural damage. Paint is not great, not embarrassing maybe after a good compound, but she's definitely in need of a fresh coat if you want a mall cruiser.
