Default Is the 60K service the same for a 1997 D90?

Just wanted to know if Disco Mike's 60K service is applicable to a 1997 D90 as well.

Do they have the same problem with the front driveshaft as the Discos?

What oils do D90's use for engine, diffs, transfer case and AT?

Brake fluid?

Anyother things I should know about?

Asking because my uncle recently bought a 1997 D90 (I think it has less than 50K miles) and is about to take it to his mechanic. I want to give him a to-do list and let him know the particularities of the D90.

Thanks!

The 60K for a D90 is going to be the same as a Discovery 1. ATF in the power steering and auto trans, brakes DOT 4 (preferrably synthetic), engine pretty much what you want but again synthetic is recommended, diffs and t-case use gear lube (75w140 synthetic recommended especially if he is going to do any serious off roading. Everything else should be the same as the D1 since a D90 is essentially the same truck as the D1.

Great, thanks! I will pass that on to him!

Can I assume the front driveshaft is the same too then?

is the d90 a diesel or gas? your oils and stuff will be different if it is... and a greasable driveshaft is never really a bad idea for any vehicle...

The only Land Rovers with the front driveshaft issue are the DII and the P-38 Range Rover.
DI's and Defenders do NOT have the double cardon joint.

You might have your uncle call me and I can show him the few differences and answer any of his questions directly.
