LOL, Verification is done is done in software with the burner. It verifies each sector is written properly. It is not on my default you need to set it. Most people do not bother to verify as it takes too much time.

I bought a bad DVD here, I verified the burn using my software. It failed verification and failed in my Land-rover too.

You need to burn at 2x not max speed and you can't use cheap disks. Some are know to have issues.

Bad DVD will give you lock ups on the GPS from time to time won't ruin the player. Your player might have got dirty heads.

I had a perfectly good player functioning 100%, put in a high quality disk(have burned and used at least 4 of these for NAV disks) and it wouldn't work in the player and got stuck.

Also burned at slowest rate.

What disk brand did you use?

Not alot to choose from but Vermatim DL have worked for me w/0 issue my my LR3.

It is for USA/Canada It is for all year LR3's and 2006-2009 RRS as well as 2005-2009 Full Size RR
This is the most current NAV system and Map Update that was released for these vehicles.
It includes the system update FW which improved the Nav system performance as well as 2011-2012 Maps.
Full instructions included. (Just remove the old DVD, put in the new one and let the system update. Select your region and you are done) Leave the new DVD in and store your original DVD in a safe place.
