Haha, no worries man. We were all new once. I'm 100% positive that this transfer case will fit your truck. The CDL acts as a central locker. You can only use it off road, but it locks so that both front and rear continue to get power even if one or the other loses traction. For example, from the factory if either front wheel breaks traction, that single wheel will just spin and spin while none of the other three wheels gets any power, atleast until the factory ABS kicks in which will apply the brakes to that wheel allowing the other wheels to get power. The CDL makes it so that if one of the front wheels breaks traction, it will continue to spin and spin as before, but it will only rob power from the other front wheel. One or both of the rear wheels will still be able to get power. That is, again, until the factory ABS kicks in and applys the brakes to the wheel that is spinning, allowing the other wheel to get power. And again, you can only use it off road.

Also, if you retrofit CDL you have to do one of two things. Option A.) Snip a specific wire leading into the ECU, or B.) Retrofit an ECU from an '04. You have to do that because if you turn the truck off with CDL engaged then your ECU will show an ABS fault and you will get the 3 Amigos. You would also have to fit a different Transfer case shifter.

Again, none of those extra steps will be necessary with this transfer case. The one that I have will be a direct bolt in replacement for your truck. Guaranteed.

What does the steering wheel look like? Could you send a picture of that and the cracked bumper?

What about the door panel/arm rest for the rear passenger door? Just the suede would be ok too. Would have to be tan.

Steering wheel is hideous, its coming apart like nobody's business.

The cracked bumper made it to my own truck because the one on it got so bad. Sorry.

Alex,

I was wondering if you can help.

I had a shop replace the transfer case on my 2003 Disco to a 2004 transfer case. Unfortunately, they did not install the two diff lock switches as shown in the pics. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to tell where the two wire harness for these two diff lock swtiches get plugged into.

Would you have any idea or be able to take pics of the routing of these two harness?

Thanks!

Oh man, that sucks. Sadly, I sold/traded them to another guy and he never sent me back the other headlights he was supposed to so I lost them.

Hey there! I can try to get you some pictures when I install the CDL in my truck, but it will probably be a few weeks. Might be better off checking with someone like Paul Grant, maybe Erik from Lucky 8, or Dusty. They should know.

I have it and I think it's in good shape, but I won't be home for a couple weeks. If you like I can shoot you a PM when I look at it and double check.
