Well Paul grant has sourced the part but thanks cup for the reply. To answer the question though the extension housing is the housing coming off the rear of the transmission that attaches to the transfer case. It's common for DIYers to crack the extension housing at the bolt holes while tryin to mate the two pieces together. Oops
