Here's a 109 wagon in good shape 1965 Land Rover 109 - Series-IIA Sedan Problem is they always never sit squarely even when pristinely rebuilt. I hate crooked sitting vehicles. Here's a titty vehicle..... Land Rover Defender 110 Tithonus

I I I haven't haven't haven't...!!! Here's the rub on sticker prices...... at least it's my rub, let me rub it!
The British Pound Sterling back in the day was way way higher than the green back. This is when they first started importing the Range Rover "Classic". Architects, Dentists, Engineers bought them cuz they where symbols which they now have a little blue pill for. The prices where sky high back then for a Rover. So now we speed back to today. I see a 97 Defender 90 for $80,0000 somewhere in New Engrand and to me it's a ....... Rover. Same rust as in all the Discos, same parts as in all the Discos and far less sound deadening or insulation as all the Discos. All I can say is idiot who buys it while shaking my head. It's an automatic, not even a R380. For that kind of investment I'd buy a Ferrari cuz it's just gonna come on out nice sunny warm summer Saturdays. Anyways..... people think because they where expensive back then well hell must be really expensive now. Uh, uh, not in my book, Pound vs. Dollar is about even Steven. I would pay original price but not more, it's just a Rover with all the same stupid issues they all have.

Umm, out here.......you can buy a decent home for less in town. Just cuzz were talking and someone brought up a hood ornament on a 944 in a picture in my shop.......Wouldn't you know a '78 non turbo 944 got stuck under my nose for $1,200 with a bad motor yesterday.........dent free, rust free, blown out drivers window, red........ugg...........bought a lawn tractor instead......what am I thinking??

Yeah, it's crazy stupid what things can go for. I'm not either of those. My range is 1k to 5k, I'm gonna get the best I can within that range.
Not my favorite tinker toy. I've had opportunities to buy them too and passed. 928's where more my thing if one had been stuck under my nose. What was "bad" about the motor, do you know off hand?

No on the motor, purchased as a project yet never unbolted anything.....my thoughts would have been my obvious favorite...........small block 350/350 combo.......rear end would probably even hold up on a 44....this is the actual car......
I may be able to get it for like 750, no one out here will bite on it, like my Rover which sat unwanted for years.......this is Ford/Chevy/Chrysler territory.......right out of a bad country music song.......there's been ZERO action on this car since offered.......F'ing wife would FREAK on me....

My neighbor thinks MY car is a sports car....... I keep telling her it's an economy car, the only sport is getting in and out of it. The 944 would be a step up in the sports car category.....
