SOME HISTORY ON IT:
I bought this Land Rover 2 years ago. It was offered to me from a guy that owed me money and instead of loosing all my money for good, I settled with taking ownership. I did not wanted to take it since I have never owned a truck before and I am not a truck or 4X4 enthusiast... none the less, I did not want to loose all my money so I decided to jump on it.
The previous owner bought it in 2002 from the insurance company that marked it as FLODDED. A few months later the front diff went south so he parked the truck. He did not use it for little more than a year... well; he did use it for short trips once in a while.

I took ownership in 2004 but at the same time I bought me an old BMW... to rebuild... a toy that took most of my spare time away from the LR
After 2 years of ownership, I decided that this 4X4 deal is not for me and although the truck is now up and in good working condition, I have lost interest... well, honestly I just found another Bimmer and want to buy it... with the LR money.

During my time of ownership I drove it for less than 2,000 miles (1,000 of those miles were driven during the last month). I fixed/replaced several parts... too lazy to list them all but at least the truck is now on its all fours and it is a pleasure to drive it.

I have the manual and 2 CDs. One CD is the RAVE software that has a dealership service manual (includes troubleshooting for problems) and the second CD has Acrobat documents were all parts numbers are listed!

You can search my screen name to find out the posts/request I have done.

KNOWN ISSUES:
This Disco was flooded. The tile shows the word flooded. I don't know to what extent but I have never identified a sign of it.
The muffler is missing.
The gasket for the Right exhausts manifold needs to be replaced. $5 or so part and easy accessible to be replaced but I just lost all interest to continue rebuilding this LR.
It has a cracked windshield
The front moonroof need a new railing. It can be opened/closed with help but it is a pity. The rear moonroof is fully operational but it was sealed with silicon by previous owner… I would imagine it leaked water.
The wipers only work by holding the level down.
The mechanical clutch fan was welded to the fan by one of the previous owners. They did a good job since it is well balanced. I thought I had overheating issues but the problem got resolved once I put the mechanical fan back.

I can offer to drive it 300 - 400 miles to your destination (if we split the cost of the gas and a return bus ticket) or I can ship it at your expense and you will have to arrange it. BUT.... if you come pick it up, is highly encouraged!!

Do you have any questions?
