Looks like aluminum and steel, no rubber. Is there any miniscule but noticable difference in power put to the ground now that there is less play in the mounts?

I got to see one first hand this weekend. I'm sure Joe can explain it better, but I believe there is a polyurethane busing running through the black aluminum piece.

That's CORRECT....NO rubber. Rubber can't handle the corrosive nature of petroleum based products and other chemicals seen in/around engine compartments.

We selected/use a specially formulated PolyEther urethane blend from DOW chemical for its properties with regard to these chemicals. NO, it wasn't formulated for us, it was formulated by DOW for this type of use and we selected with help from our supplier and it is exclusively made by them using this material, you cant buy this material from say Energy Suspension or someone like that. Not because they can't get it, mostly because they probably don't want to pay for it's higher cost.

If you check the photos under the mounts on our website, you will see the red urethane bushing in the pictures. It gets pressed into the aluminum block and it also gets a 4130 or 316 sleeve inserted - first release had a 316 sleeve, this second release we wanted to try the nickel plated 4130. Honestly, there is no difference in this application, both are just as strong as the other when used this way as a sleeve.

Although we have not tested power gains/losses before/after installation, we expect HUGE hp gains based on looks. Kidding, only kidding. There is no increased hp perceived, expressed, implied or even likely. We are not claiming anything of the sort.

Take a look at these pics to see the bushing and sleeve though....

We've ended our initial sale pricing and have updated our website. Our products are also now available at several southern California independent Land Rover repair facilities and of course on our website.

We've got several sets left. We are on the fence about doing any more production runs.

A few rallies and events coming up this spring so hopefully the word will get around, otherwise, this may be our last production run.

There is no equal. Check out our website and Facebook posts from customers. These things are rock solid.

I'm interested and with 125K on my mounts this seems an excellent update. How hard is the install?

Depends on your skill level. The bolts on the back side of the engine bracket are kind of hard to get to, not so much on the pass side, but the drive side only the front of the bracket offers access and hoses and stuff are in the way.

I have done it as fast 45 minutes and as slow as 2 hours.

I can tell you that mine are easier to install (and you shouldnt ever have to remove) than the factory version because I don't use "locked" in place studs, I am using bolts so they move around and the bottom bolt is loose, not attached like factory stud.

If you have any experience working in/on/around/under cars, its a 1-2 hour job in my opinion. If you work on trucks all day long for a living, its a 20-30 minute job. If you have never picked up a wrench in your life, maybe 3 hours.

I can forward some old instructions if you need help, I might have to update them though.

We've gone back into production. LIFETIME GUARANTEE!! The best and only option available for 1999-2004 Discovery Series II engine mounts. The OEM mounts are prone to failrure for even the most timid drivers, these will NEVER fail. Guaranteed!!!

Get them at products ? blacklisted engineering
I am definately interested in a set as I am told mine are cracked and if not all the way through, will be sooner than later. My only concern is the ride, does it suffer with these or is it hardly noticeable? You also sell these on eBay?
