What'll you give me? (94 & 95 Disco 1's)
Looking to sell both of my Rovers. What'll you give me?
Both are 5 speed manuals. Both have issues with the Transfer Case.
I WILL NOT PART THEM OUT.
Green one is a 94 - 194,628 miles
- the tires are worth $500+ by themselves. They have a ton of tread left on them
- nice exhaust system
- I have not owned this rig long. I bought it to swap parts between the 2 vehicles as they both have parts the other could use.
- Has a brand new battery ($125) with receipt
- INCLUDES AN EXTRA CLUTCH KIT
- INCLUDES AN EXTRA FUEL FILTER
- Has the original Land Rover Bike Rack
- Includes a bag of "goodies" in the back... (tow rope, receiver hitch, other misc parts)
White one is a 95 - 204,220 miles
Parts I've replaced on it since owning it (not authentic Rover parts)
- Distributor, Cap, Rotor, plugs, wires
- Alternator
- Battery
- Brakes
The 95 has a nice sub woofer in it and the system sounds great. The tires have decent tread left on them but will need replaced soon. There is a nice rack on top. The engine is very reliable. The guy that owned it before me did the heads, timing chain, and H20 pump (I have a disc with all pics of the project on it to prove it). THIS ENGINE IS VERY RELIABLE. I would trust it on long trips.
So the ultimate Question... What will you give me for both rigs...? Please no ridiculous low ball offers. I just want a fair price.
Both are in the Tacoma, WA area...both have current tags and I have Titles in hand.

Rule #1 in the Classified sticky. Must list a price. I hate when guys have stuff for sale and don't give a price. Then have the nerve to say "no low ball offers". Well how do I know my offer is low or high? It's like your asking me to perform both sides of the negotiation table. As the buyer and seller. Just ask a freaking price. Then when a buyer comes along, he can counter your asking price. I feel the only reason you don't have a price is because you don't know what they are worth or you want some one to over pay what you really want.
Rant over.

Ouch - a lot of assumptions there.
A) I didn't realize that was a rule... admittedly I didn't read the sticky
B) I would NEVER try to get someone to overpay for any rigs.. I'm not that guy.. (of course you didn't know that.
C) I am well aware of the value... My reason for not listing a price was that I'm willing to take the BEST REASONABLE OFFER as I want to move them but I'm not desparate to sell (hence the statement "no RIDICULOUS low ball offers")
I just didn't want a bunch of emails offering me $500 for them because that would be "Ridiculous".
If it makes you feel any better - here's a starting point for negotiation - I'll take $2,500 for both.

Yeah, it was a hell of a deal. I didn't realize how good until I did some checking around since it was literally a spur of the moment purchase. Glad I got it though.
I bought mine immobile - come to find out it has tons of clutch material in the bell housing so it probably just needs a clutch replacement. I haven't bought a clutch yet - what are you doing with the extra clutch that you have?
You shouldn't have much of a problem getting that amount for both - especially given that they are both 5 speeds.
