Looks like it has been re-painted; missing all the tell-tail L.Rover labels. I have the same problem with my car seat, however I would never sell, trade or drive it off a cliff though. I would consider building a new fabricated rear seat as a short term alternate plan instead. Be happy to work up some plans for you. I have considered doing the same modification, but we only use my Disco a few times a month.
