Default WTT: My 21" 10-spoke (1012, Black)

I do a significant amount of overlanding and have decided to swap my 21's (including spare) for 20's (1011). I'll most likely end up selling them, but thought I'd see if there's any interest in a trade before I do.

I'm in Denver, CO.

I'll place a proper ad in the for sale forum if/when I list them.

Hey,
I am thinking of purchasing the new Disco 5 to replace my Wrangler that I do a considerable amount of overlanding with. The need for more space and overall more comfort on long hauls has sparked the investigation. That being said, there isn't a ton of aftermarket for Disco 5 yet which is understandable but curious to hear what you ordered your disco with and what build plans you have?

I've only had the car for a couple months, so at the moment I've only added a rack (Frontrunner).

I admittedly have a 'pack light, freeze at night' approach to things, which my wife's not so fond about. That said, my main focus is on recovery. For a long time I relied on a hi-jack or come along, but I plan on a proper winch for my D5. The Lucky 8 guys are taking pre-orders for their winch tray, which is the direction I'll probably go.

Tires & wheels are another focus, but the stock tires have actually performed great so far (steeps, rocks, mud). The biggest issue with the stock set-up is sidewall and wheel protection so I keep the PSI up to protect them. Not like you could drop it much with 45's anyway...

Be sure to consider the locking dif (Capability Package), tow hitch (comes with a recovery point), and most importantly the air suspension (Capability Package as well). I went back and forth on the engine options, but don't think you an go wrong - just depends on your priorities. Oh, and seat covers...

My Dad's lives in the desert and has had/built Jeeps as long as I can remember. After the requisite trash talk from him, he was very impressed by the D5. It's every bit as capable as his Jeep for what we do, and so much nicer getting there...

Awesome, thanks for the information. I’m leaning towards the Diesel engine and plan to add the capability and tow package. Love what LR plans for the ABX Just not sure I want to throw down $85-100k when it’s available.

Im 6’11 so I squeeze in the Wrangler, was able to test drive the disco for a bit and that’s much more comfortable. Thanks again for the information and update the thread with photos as you add more to your build. I’ll do the same when i start mine!
