I'm not well educated in this matter, but I want to replicate the CDL function on my 2002 to work exactly like an 04. From my understanding, I either cut a certain wire and follow a specific startup procedure, or swap in a 04' slabs unit.

So if thats right and you have one to sell, I'm buyin'

 

I just picked one up off eBay for $50. It was incorrectly listed, but the photos of it cleared showed the magic part number SRD 500070.
There are always a few on there, but make sure you check the part number carefully.

 

While it's true SRD500070 is the Holy Grail SRD000150 is also from the '03-'04 model years. SRD000150 also does not trigger the Three Amigos if the truck is started with CDL engaged.

I pulled mine from an '04 at a local boneyard expecting to find an SRD500070 but came up with an SRD000150 instead. Works great.

 

I was feeling a little impatient and bought one from roverlandparts for $95. Crossing my fingers it's not programmed for SLS, and double cross my fingers that my Lynx programmer can reprogram if it is.

 

Too bad. I just bought an '04 this morning. It should be here any minute.
