Default ISO of 4.6 Crank and Rods

Got bad news from the machine shop today and found out I’m in need of a crank and rods. I wa a really hoping to be reinstalling my engine this weekend but that’s not looking possible anymore. If you have a good 4.6 crank and rods please let me know! I am located in Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

I've got two sets. They'll probably need to be polished, they're still in the blocks.

Curious why you need new ones, though. Could the machine shop not grind and polish what you had?

Yeah a bad rod bearing and low oil pressure killed this one. Maximum size rod bearings I could find were .2 and he couldn’t machine within that spec. I let myself get scammed when the seller said he started to do an oil pump job but never got around to finishing it. So bought it having never heard it run, and even after I decided I didn’t want the truck I let my dad convince me it could be a worthwhile project which it hasn’t been. Anyways cylinder 1 rod was out of balance from being slung around and the crank was badly worn there. So I got a Crank and set of 4.6 rods and upgraded the 4.0 in the truck.

Ah, understand that. I've bought bad engines before myself. So did you get sorted out or do you still need a set?

Yeah I’m all good. Ended up finding a recently rebuilt 4.6 that developed a cracked block after about 3000 miles. Thanks

Actually just got the news that the crank I picked up is useless because they were incorrectly installed with the thrust bearing. Where are you located and what are you thinking on a crank?

Just sourced another one today actually, thanks though. Hopefully this will be the last crank I buy.
