WTB Block
#11
Yes sir.
I can do the block swap/rebuild in the garage in the evenings in the coming weeks.
The real killer will then be waiting for a dry and not freezing cold weekend to put the engine in.
I have to park the D2 in front of my garage, as there isn't room for it and the crane to move about with the garage door shut.
Oh well, I'm happy to be back working on this project again.
Maybe it'll work this time, lol.

Block I was sent is junk.
Not decked as advertised, light under a straight edge between both middle cylinders on both banks, cylinders are honed...but all 8 are full of vertical lines that a finger nail can hang.
Company was trying to make me pay to ship it back, but eventually was sorted out and a shipping label is supposed to be emailed to me.
So...
I am in need of a good 4.0 block or P38 4.6
Let me know if you have anything.
Thanks

I got one!!!!!!
Just got back from Will Tillery's, thanks to a hook up from Extinct.
Great guys, and this 4.0 short block is in Great condition!
Even better than I had hoped.
So, as time allows, the 4.6 crank, Crower cam, and all new bearings and rings will go in.
Along with reman heads that I'm still porting.
Also
Extinct will be taking my 4.6 block when I finish disassembling it.
He will remove the liners and is going to look for the cracks in the cylinder walls of the block.
He's an engineer, and will be able to give us all some more insight on the block issues these things have.
So a win win and a great morning.
Will sells on ebay too, so if you need parts, he is the man.
Big selection, and knows his stuff.
