Just an FYI, if you wind up with an LT230 from a '96 or later DI you're going to need the transmission coupler otherwise the transfer case will not fit on the coupler coming out of the back of your transmission. The splines on the early DI's were not as long as they were on the '96 and later models. As a result, when installing a later transfer case on your transmission, it will not seat correctly without the proper coupler.
