It could do that coming from the rear of the vehicle too.
Actually, the mounts are very tight on it. You really have to yank on the maglite to get it out of them.
I've slammed my Disco hard enough that I was surprised the air-bags didn't deploy and the light didn't budge. I'm not worried about it.

yeah you are right. they are very tight. i have mine mounted in the top of my rear gate and its in there pretty good. with my luck it would fall out and hit my head if i tried putting it up there. i should just get loads of them and put them everywhere. i should stop messing around with accessories and concentrate on problems like my 3 amigos. lol.

Dude, there are tons of more powerful lights for alot cheaper. Hell I got one that is magnetic that swivels and it works great. Of course I have four lights and one clamshell that is charged from inside the vehicle.
A maglite is too big and clumsy and wont do squat when you got a flat tire.
