It could do that coming from the rear of the vehicle too.

Actually, the mounts are very tight on it. You really have to yank on the maglite to get it out of them.
I've slammed my Disco hard enough that I was surprised the air-bags didn't deploy and the light didn't budge. I'm not worried about it.

yeah you are right. they are very tight. i have mine mounted in the top of my rear gate and its in there pretty good. with my luck it would fall out and hit my head if i tried putting it up there. i should just get loads of them and put them everywhere. i should stop messing around with accessories and concentrate on problems like my 3 amigos. lol.

Agree 100%, but accessories are SO much easier to do and much more fun!

Dude, there are tons of more powerful lights for alot cheaper. Hell I got one that is magnetic that swivels and it works great. Of course I have four lights and one clamshell that is charged from inside the vehicle.

A maglite is too big and clumsy and wont do squat when you got a flat tire.

OK, Debbie Downer....thanks for raining on my parade....show us a picture of your setup, it sounds pretty cool. And I know there are more powerful flashlights available but the Mag is a proven workhorse (ask a cop).....and how many flashlights do you have that also double as a whoopin' stick?

That's one of the reasons I have it mounted above my door.

That's where'd put mine, but I think I'm gonna replace the back door panel with a metal one and mount it there.

Those stainless diamond plate panels are sweet, I just don't want to lose the door pocket or spend the time moving the subs...

But after seeing this on Jeffrudy's XD, I might have to reconsider
