New Range Rover

What the heck are they thinking? The entire line needs to be taken back to its roots. The new Land Rovers are more about impressing the neighbors than exploring the far ends of the world. My current Rover may be 50 years old and not running at the moment but I'd still take it over any of the latest Rovers.

Unfortunately they are looking for a new demographic.

The really sad part is most people that buy these new Rovers will not remain Rover owners. As soon as something newer, better and shinier comes out they'll dump their couple year old Rover for something else.
The people that are on the forums like this one are the ones who are going to keep Rovers on the road beyond the warranty period. The people that get to know their vehicles and are willing to do the maintenance to keep them going are true Rover owners.

I really wish they wouldn't associate that thing with a Range Rover.
The RR "brand" is legendary, the LRX is an iPod on wheels that doesnt deserve to be in the same class.
LR needs to create a utilitarian vehicle that will run on bio-diesel or natural gas. Natural gas around here is at $1.45 per gallon. Just imagine a Defender that runs on that stuff... I bet it would sell pretty well.
