If I was a city dweller and lived in a high rise I would have one I think.
But it is def not for the country or even the outer 'burbs.

There's no denying its a "cool" car.
But Land Rover's weren't meant to be cool, they were mean't to do work. And like Spike said, the only work these will be doing is driving some city dweller to work.

i wonder how it will do in sales compared to the Freelander then lr2.

i think the market its targeting will still choose the RR and RRS over the evoque...

I think a lot of people who have stayed away from Rover because of the full time 4 wheel drive will go for the Evoque. A lot of people shy away because of fuel mileage and 2 wheel drive certainly should get better mileage.

Here in West Michigan everyone buys AWD cars, Ford Five Hundreds AWD, Escapes AWD, Equenoix AWD...if it has the AWD option they buy it and the only reason they buy a 2 wheel drive is because the AWD's were on back order.
Its crazy, I just dont get it, 2 wheel drive and a good set of snow tires and you can still get to work and the kids to school, its not like we dont have snow plows or anything.

In Alaska we drive on ice covered roads 6 months of the year. Snow tires are good but sometimes only 2, more likely 1, tire trying to provide all the traction on ice just doesn't cut it. We have surprisingly few snow plows up here. We use everything that can mount a blade or snowblower to clear snow. Graders are the most common snow removal tool here.

Both my parents Mercedes are AWD and of course my Super Duty is 4x4. Of course I use 4x4 during the summer also on some of the trails I find myself taking.
