Default So I've been thinking...

And I have gone through more bulb sockets in the rear bumper than I care to count.
My mud flaps have all fallen off about 2 years ago, I never had to replace my bumper bulb sockets before they fell off.
I figure it must be road salt getting in there are rotting out the bulb seat.
So....taking a old mud flap off of a cement truck I measured, and cut, and drilled, and bolted new mud flaps, total cost was $5 for the hardware.

Looks much better. And a healthy oil spot as well.

Yeah, my 4 year old son dumped half a gallon of used oil in the driveway Fri afternoon while I was at work.
I had changed the oil in my mom's '08 Ford Escape last weekend and I had the 2 used oil jugs sitting next to the garage, he grabbed them and put them on the back of his tricycle, one fell off and it popped open.
Thats what I get for being lazy and not taking it in to be recycled right away.
By time I got home most of it had soaked into the driveway, hardly a spot to be found before that, even though that is my parking spot.

Mmmhmm. Likely story there Spike. Blame in on a Ford, and then your son no less!! (I'm thinking Spike actually bribed his son to dump the oil to cover the few spots left by his 2,000,000 mile machine)

You cant see it unless you look under the truck.
Its only surface rust, everything is still solid.
And the stuff on the diff is mud, same with the dust shields on the brakes.

Great idea, maybe I need to start taking a rag soaked in used oil and coat my frame? LOL

Literally, he feels a five gallon bucket up with WD and paints it on, every week.
